Juneteenth (short for June Nineteenth) is a holiday that marks the end of slavery in the United States and is celebrated each year across the country.

The first festival launched in 2019 as a small gathering in the Dan Ryan Woods but quickly expanded each year. Last year’s festival was a force on the South Side, with more than 2,000 attendees! As the festival grows in popularity, sponsorship, and attendance, this year’s event will be more significant and have more to offer the community. This year’s Juneteenth Family Festival will feature entertainment, activities, and shopping for every age group!

Attendees will also have access to health education, vaccinations, dental exams, mental health resources, health screenings, health and fitness workshops, and more!
